Because color varies on screen, keep in mind that sampling is an iterative process and it may take a few rounds to achieve your vision.
Avoid choosing large swaths of solid, dark colors as these can make seam popping more pronounced when upholstery is sewn.

Christopher David Ryan
Christopher David Ryan is a Maine-based artist whose work moves freely between fine art, graphic design, and illustration. A self-described “daydreamer, pseudo-scientist, wanna-be astronaut and untrained intellectual,” he cites music, the universe, the human condition and natural phenomena as things that inspire his work.
Anna Hepler
Anna Hepler is a sculptor and printmaker based in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Her dynamic art practice blurs the lines between two and three dimensions. Any action in one material or medium gives her a sense of possibility in another. Wire forms flatten into drawings, clay impersonates metal, plywood coils like rope, plastic inhales and exhales.
Rachel Gloria Adams
Rachel is a Portland, Maine-based multidisciplinary artist, who has developed a vibrant visual language grounded in bold, graphic patterns. Filled with references to the natural world, her work exudes an heirloom-like quality through its clear traces of the hand, and spans quilting, large-scale murals, design and painting.
Elizabeth Atterbury
Elizabeth is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Portland, Maine. Known for her vibrant geometric prints, textured reliefs and large wood and stone sculptures, she continually interrogates themes of legibility, opacity, improvisation and object-making while considering family histories and her Chinese-American heritage.
Jenny Dougherty
Jenny is a visual artist and designer based in Portland, Maine. Her work is influenced by her surroundings and expresses a particular interest in the unwitting overlap between nature and human action. Her visual vocabulary is informed by the patterns, colors and shapes around us, and she seeks to highlight the undiscovered beauty of everyday life.
Karen Gelardi
Karen is Digital Studio’s principal designer and collaborations liaison. Based in Portland, Maine, she is an artist in her own right, with a practice spanning multiple mediums. Focused on the ideas of resiliency and adaptation, Karen’s process begins with observational drawings, which she then expands and re-presents to emphasize the adaptable qualities between imagery and material.
Charley Harper
Charley Harper was an American illustrator known for combining a passion for the natural world with a minimalist, geometrically reduced style and an irresistible sense of humor. Armed with an uncanny ability to capture the wonder of the natural world, he captured the unique aspects of his wildlife subjects through highly stylized geometric reduction, producing numerous illustrated books, prints and murals from 1950 on.
Joe Kievitt
Joe Kievett is an artist, carpenter, craftsman and designer, who resides in Portland, Maine. He is best known for his abstract works, which not only exist as large scale works on paper, but public art commissions including numerous mosaic and mural projects as well. So precise that they often appear digitally rendered at first glance, Kievett’s geometric creations are a product of his meticulous drawing process.

Substrates may be added or removed periodically based on demand and other external influences. If you would like to request a substrate to be added, please share the suggestion with your sales representative or contact us. We welcome your feedback.
Some special finishes may be available for an added cost and lead time. Contact your sales representative if you have additional performance requests for your final product. Please note that we do not produce samples with special finishes applied.

Pricing varies by substrate, so please refer to the substrate specifications for individual pricing. Printing is included in the price.
Samples are typically received 3-5 business days after placing an order.
Because we custom print your sample, the delivery time is slightly longer than a standard sample. However, if faster delivery is required, please contact your sales representative and we will try our best to accommodate.
Tracking information for samples is sent to the email address provided during checkout and can also be found in your order history.
Yes, locate the sample order in the order history section of your account and follow the steps to re-order additional samples.
Larger samples and full-size mockups are available if needed. Please contact your sales representative to request one.
Yes, contact your sales representative to request a digital copy of the sample.
Each Digital Studio sample is identified by a unique reference number, which can be found in both your order history and on your sample. This reference number will be the item number used for purchasing yardage of the sample.
